The Rockhampton Art Gallery Trust comprises a group of community members who meet regularly to consider acquisitions and to plan and support activities to advance the community interest in art and in the Gallery.
The Trust is active in raising funds for new art acquisitions and encouraging donations of art works to the Collection. All donations (of funds and art works) are 100% tax deductible in the financial year in which the gift is made.
The Trust also administers a fund which is used to acquire works for the Gallery, and to date has been used to acquire significant works for the collection including "Shaded pool, Carnarvon" 2008 by William Robinson, "Portrait of George Johnson" 1966 by Russell Drysdale, "Drapery in the studio" 1940 by Grace Cossington-Smith, Samuari suit of armour 1700s
